Logical Facts : Why Hindus, Indians don't eat cow meat / beef ?

There are so many explanations why Hindus, Indian, won’t eat cow meat (beef) or slaughter cow. These are mostly belonging to religious faith, belief or taboo. But here I would like to present the logical facts for the reasons Why Hindus won’t eat beef.

1.    Cow is the only animal which gives milk. You may doubt that buffalo, goat, camel and even soya give milk. But compared to all, the cow’s milk is rich in vitamins, minerals, calcium and importantly low in calories and fat content.
So killing a cow on regular basis will lapse all these. Also the milk is the birth for the various dairy products like curd, cheese, butter, ghee, butter milk, cream and also widely used in sweets, chocolates, Ice creams, Shakes and so on.

2.    A cow does on overage release between 70 and 120 kg of Methane per year. Methane is a greenhouse gas which is a gas in an atmosphere that absorbs and emits radiation within the thermal infrared range. This causes the greenhouse effect. But the negative effect on the climate of Methane is 23 times higher than the effect of CO2. Therefore the release of about 100 kg Methane
per year for each cow is equivalent to about 2'300 kg CO2 per year. You may b e thinking that chow it can be a positive point? There is logic in this, without greenhouse gases, the average temperature of Earth's surface would be about −18 °C (0 °F), rather than the present average of 15 °C (59 °F). So −18 °C overall earth would be a terrible or human living. So not using cows for meat or beef will keep the animals quantity sufficient for positive effect and at the same time keeping the dairy products lively.

3.    Cow dung, yes you heard me right, cow dung is used a natural fertilizer for plants and also uses as raw material for the production of biogas, which is renewable energy. When compared to other animals waste, cow dung is free from bacteria and it acts as pesticide to kill crop bacteria and at the same time keeping non toxic to human. And the dung is mixed with wastes after rice and wheat producer, dried and used as fuel or fire for stoves rather using fire woods which again reduces the tree cutting ratio for fire wood purpose.
The dung in villages is applied to houses walls because it works as insulator keeping heat outside in summer and also mixed with water and sprinkled in verandahs of houses which keep the insects and pests from entering in to houses. On the other hand, the other animals waste is not considered for these advantages because of containing weeds in other wastes and compositing the manure destroys most of the seeds of crops and also neither of the other animal waste is considered of having pesticide effects and non inflammatory qualities.

4.    Cow Urine, Gomutra refers to the usage of cow urine for therapeutic purposes in traditional Indian medicine, Ayurveda. It also used in Vaastu Shastra for purification purposes. Urine of a pregnant cow is considered special and it is claimed that it contains special hormones and minerals. For pharmaceutical purposes, In Ayurveda, Gomutra is claimed to be helpful in the treatment of leprosy and cancer.
A mixture of gomutra, Triphala, and cow milk is used for the treatment of Anemia. It is also used in the treatment of fever by mixing it with black pepper, yoghurt, and ghee (ghrita). A mixture of gomutra, neem bark, vasaka bark, kurilo bark, kaner leaves. A mixture of gomutra and dharuharidra is used for epilepsy. In 2002, a US patent was issued to a group of Indian scientists from Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR). It was an antibiotic and cow urine distillate mixture. The cow urine was claimed to be serving as a bio enhancer, enhancing anti-microbial activity of antibiotic and antifungal agents.

5.    According to research, cows are generally very intelligent animals who can remember things for a long time. Animal behaviorists have found that cows interact in socially complex ways, developing friendships over time and sometimes holding grudges against other cows who treat them badly.

These gentle giants mourn the deaths of and even separation from those they love, even shedding tears over their loss. The mother-calf bond is particularly strong, and there are countless reports of mother cows who continue to frantically call and search for their babies after the calves have been taken away and sold to veal or beef farms. So if dogs are for loyalty among the all animals then undoubtedly cows are the animals that symbolize the affection and love towards humans and sometimes killing and eating cows are referred as cannibalism in Hinduism.
6.    Leadership Qualities: A herd of cows is very much like a pack of wolves, with alpha animals and complex social dynamics. Each cow can recognize more than 100 members of the herd, and social relationships are very important to them. Cows will consistently choose leaders for their intelligence, inquisitiveness, self-confidence, experience, and good social skills, while bullying, selfishness, size, and strength are not recognized as suitable leadership qualities.

So that’s why Hindus don’t eat beef and slaughter cows as they recognize the positive uses as and in form of Dairy products, Fertilizers, Pesticides, Insecticides, Pharmaceutical advantages, Leadership and not but not least and one of the social animal. So for common mans mind all these are united to say it in a single word “religiously secular”
